CCIVS is hiring: Finance & Administration Officer

Location: Hungary
Contract: Full-time, Hungary-based contract
Working arrangement: Remote working possible, with occasional travel

Salary:  €1500 – €1,700 net per month

The Coordinating Committee for International Voluntary Service (CCIVS) is looking for a Finance & Administration Officer to join its international team from January 2027.

We are looking for someone with strong financial management and administrative experience who can support the day-to-day financial and administrative functioning of an international NGO and contribute to the sound management of European-funded projects.

About CCIVS

The Coordinating Committee for International Voluntary Service (CCIVS) is a global network promoting International Voluntary Service as a means to foster peace, intercultural understanding, social justice and meaningful participation.

Founded in 1948 under the aegis of UNESCO, CCIVS brings together organisations and networks working with volunteers and communities around the world.

Main responsibilities

The Finance & Administration Officer will support the financial and administrative management of CCIVS, including:

  • Financial management, monitoring and follow-up of CCIVS activities and projects
  • Budget monitoring and financial reporting
  • Supporting the financial management of European-funded projects, including Erasmus+ and other European youth programmes
  • Processing and organising financial and administrative documentation
  • Supporting accounting processes and coordination with external accounting services
  • Monitoring payments, expenses and supporting documents
  • Supporting administrative procedures linked to staff, projects and organisational operations
  • Maintaining clear and accurate financial and administrative records
  • Supporting the preparation of financial information for audits, reports and organisational decision-making
  • Working closely with the CCIVS Secretariat and project teams

Profile

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Strong experience in financial management and administration
  • Previous experience working in an NGO or nonprofit environment
  • Experience with Erasmus+ and/or European youth programme funding
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage several financial and administrative processes simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently in an international and remote working environment
  • Good command of English and French

Knowledge of the French accounting system is desirable but not essential. Training can be provided.

Eligibility

Location: This position is based in Hungary and will be offered under a Hungarian employment contract. Applicants who are not currently based in Hungary must be willing to relocate to Hungary and must already have the legal right to work in the country.

Candidates should also be willing to be based in Hungary while working remotely as part of the CCIVS international Secretariat.
