On 22 September 2026, the Voices for Change project came to a close with the EmpowerEU Online Summit. Young people, volunteers, civil society organisations and artists from across the world came together online to share what their communities have learned and what they are asking for. A warm thank you to everyone who joined, spoke, asked questions and followed along.
The Summit put local voices at the centre. Communities from countries including Ecuador, Turkey, Palestine and others shared their advocacy asks on climate justice, volunteering, mobility, recognition, rights and access to decision-making.
The programme followed the Voices for Change journey from local action and creative expression to advocacy. Participants watched the project’s music video, heard from the artists and contributors behind it, and saw real stories and impact findings that show what can change when communities take action and have more power to shape their own realities.
A central moment was the presentation of the Change Capsule, the project’s knowledge platform. It brings together the song, videos, the Earth Artivists Toolkit, policy proposals, Volunteer Rights resources and the advocacy strategy, so that organisations, communities and participants can carry the advocacy journey forward well beyond the project.
