Stories of Change Report is a CCIVS report from the Voices for Change project, which used the Most Significant Change (MSC) technique to collect and select stories of environmental and social change from volunteers and communities across the partner network.
The report explains the MSC method (five steps, from defining domains of change to verifying stories) and then presents two sets of stories. The first, Stories of Challenges, documents entangled crises such as e-waste pollution on Palestinian farmland, urban overdevelopment in Italy, deforestation in Türkiye, and food insecurity in South Africa, showing how communities are forced to survive in systems that devalue both people and nature. The second, Stories of Changes, highlights transformation through creativity, cooperation, and small-scale action: community gardens, art and exhibitions, environmental education networks, and personal journeys of reclaiming agency.
