On 22 September 2026, the Voices for Change project will hold its closing advocacy event, the EmpowerEU Online Summit, bringing together young people, volunteers, civil society organisations, artists and policy stakeholders from across the world.
At the heart of the Summit will be concrete advocacy asks from local communities in countries including Ecuador, Turkey, Palestine and others, addressing issues such as climate justice, volunteering, mobility, recognition, rights and access to decision-making. These community perspectives will be brought directly into a policy dialogue with EU policymakers and institutional stakeholders, creating space for real responses to the concerns and proposals raised.
The programme will also trace the Voices for Change journey from local action and creative expression to advocacy and policy dialogue, with a screening of the project’s music video, conversations with the artists and contributors behind it, and real stories and impact findings showing what can change when communities take action and have greater power to shape their realities.
A central moment of the Summit will be the presentation of the Change Capsule, the project’s knowledge platform bringing together the song, videos, Earth Artivists Toolkit, policy proposals, Volunteer Rights resources and advocacy strategy. The Change Capsule is designed to support organisations, communities and participants in continuing the advocacy journey well beyond the project.
The Summit takes place online on 22 September 2026 at 14:30 CEST (15:30 EET) and lasts 1.5 hours. Participation is free and no prior experience in advocacy or EU policy is needed.
