The "White Paper on International Voluntary Service," created by the Coordinating Committee for International Voluntary Service (CCIVS) with support from UNESCO, was developed during the "Volunteering 2011: Global Strategies for Global Challenges" project which spanned from November 2010 to October 2011. This white paper outlines strategic directions for the next decade, aiming to leverage the potential of international voluntary service (IVS) across various thematic areas such as sustainability, environment, human rights, peace, cultural heritage, social inclusion, and health. It seeks to enhance global coordination and impact of IVS activities, foster inter-regional cooperation, and propose supportive measures for capacity building and networking among IVS organizations worldwide.
