🌍 ABOUT RAN – ReAct Now: Engaging Youth for Social & Climate Justice
What is RAN?
ReAct Now (RAN) is a youth-led initiative that empowers young people to take action for climate justice and human rights. Through training, activism, and cross-border collaboration, RAN provides young leaders with the tools, skills, and networks they need to make a lasting impact in their communities.
Funded by the EU Erasmus+ program, the project brings together youth organizations from Europe and MENA (Middle East & North Africa) to develop non-formal education programs, advocacy campaigns, and real-world actions for a fairer, more sustainable future.
🎯 PROJECT OBJECTIVES
RAN focuses on three core areas to equip and mobilize youth for change:
1️⃣ Empower Youth Leaders – Provide training and mentorship to young activists so they can lead climate and social justice movements.
2️⃣ Strengthen Global Connections – Build stronger collaboration between young people in Europe and MENA to share experiences and strategies.
3️⃣ Increase Awareness & Action – Engage youth in climate justice, human rights, and policy advocacy, ensuring their voices are heard at local and international levels.
4️⃣ Create Lasting Resources – Develop toolkits, reports, and multimedia content to support ongoing activism and training beyond the project’s duration.
🌟 INTENDED OUTCOMES
By the end of the project, RAN aims to:
✅ Train & mentor 24 youth leaders to engage & mobilize young people in their countries.
✅ Support over 120 young activists through workshops, study visits, and direct actions.
✅ Increase awareness among European and MENA youth on the links between climate justice & human rights.
✅ Equip youth organizations with new non-formal education methods for long-term impact.
✅ Foster stronger connections between youth activists, creating a network of changemakers for future projects.
✅ Develop key resources (training toolkit, advocacy reports, and a documentary) to sustain impact beyond RAN.
