VERONIKA MARKOVÁ

Vice President for Europe and the Mediterranean

Veronika Marková has been involved in the IVS movement for more than 12 years. Initially as a volunteer before transitioning to a full-time position at INEX – Association for Voluntary Activities in the Czech Republic, where she worked for more than 5 years. Starting as the coordinator of workcamp leaders, trainer, and facilitator, she advanced to become a coordinator of long-term strategic international projects, eventually taking the role in the management of the organization. Her expertise centers on advocacy, particularly through building partnerships among NGOs and schools, and fostering and analyzing the competence development of young people involved in IVS and non-formal education activities.
Currently, Veronika is involved with The Alliance of European Voluntary Service Organizations, an International Non-Governmental Youth Organization that represents national organizations which promote intercultural education, understanding and peace through voluntary service. Throughout her involvement, she contributed to a working group focused on educational projects aimed at building the capacities of member organizations. Currently, she is involved in a team that is managing the network’s IT tools, and participates in the Action Group focused on representing the network and its interests.
