The ReAct Now Youth Toolkit for Climate Justice is now live – a free, practical guide designed by and for young people to help communities take meaningful action on climate justice and human rights.
Developed by 24 youth leaders from Palestine, Jordan, France, Germany, Italy, and Israel during a 7-day Erasmus+ Training for Trainers in Magliano Sabina, Italy, this toolkit offers ready-to-use non-formal education methods adaptable to any local or international context. It’s the latest milestone in the ReAct Now project, coordinated by the Coordinating Committee for International Voluntary Service (CCIVS).
📚 What is the ReAct Now Youth Toolkit for Climate Justice?
The toolkit is a flexible training resource for youth workers, educators, activists, and associations. It helps facilitators:
- Connect climate change with human rights issues.
- Use participatory learning methods like role-play, storytelling, and group simulations.
- Build safe, inclusive spaces for youth engagement.
- Plan and run climate justice workshops in schools, community centres, and international exchanges.
It contains full daily session outlines from the original training, covering:
- Icebreakers and team-building activities.
- Climate change and human rights deep dives.
- Principles of non-formal education.
- Facilitation practice and peer feedback.
- Intersectionality in climate justice.
🌍 Why This Toolkit Matters
Climate change is not just an environmental crisis – it’s a human rights crisis. Young people in marginalised communities are often the most affected and the least heard.
The ReAct Now Youth Toolkit for Climate Justice equips facilitators to turn awareness into collective action, encouraging local projects that strengthen solidarity between European and MENA youth.
💬 “It’s not just about learning new skills – it’s about empowering young people to lead the change in their own communities,” says the CCIVS team.
